BackSchool closure - Extreme Weather conditions
Posted on: June 23rd 2026As you will be aware, there is currently an Amber Heat Warning in place for parts of Wales, including Cardiff, which is forecast to escalate to a Red Warning on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June. A red warning indicates that a severe heatwave may have widespread impacts beyond health, including disruption of transport, water and energy supplies, and businesses. It also signifies a potential risk to life, even for otherwise healthy individuals.
Therefore, the following arrangements will be in place:
Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June 2026; Corpus Christi Catholic High School will be closed to all pupils.
Pupils should remain at home and work will be set for learners on Wednesday and Thursday to complete independently. This will be communicated directly by the school through Classcharts/Teams in the usual way.
