Admissions

The Governing Body is the admitting authority for Corpus Christi Catholic High School. Corpus Christi admits up to 215 pupils into Year 7 each year. This Published Admission Number (PAN) is set by the Governors in accordance with the capacity survey completed with Cardiff Council and the Welsh Government. If there are more than 215 applications, the Governors will apply the oversubscription criteria set out in the Admissions Policy

Open Evening for Year 7 Applicants – September 2027 Entry

On Thursday 1 October 2026, we will hold an Open Evening from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm. You and your child will have the opportunity to tour the school and attend a presentation by the Headteacher.

How to apply

Prospective applicants should read the Admissions Policy, including the oversubscription criteria, before applying.

To be considered for a Year 7 place, applicants must:

Complete the Cardiff Council online admissions portal (Common Application Form), naming Corpus Christi Catholic High School as a preferred school; and

Complete the school's Supplementary Information Form via the school website. Supporting documentation, such as a baptismal certificate, is uploaded through this process.

The deadline for applications is on Friday 30 October 2026, as set by the Welsh Government. Please note that the school will be closed for the autumn half-term break from Monday 26 October to Friday 30 October 2026.

The Cardiff online portal will be available from Friday 4th September 2026 until the application deadline. Applicants who live outside of Cardiff will also be required to complete the Cardiff online portal, in addition to their residential local authority portal. This is because local authorities outside of Cardiff do not offer our school as an option.

Please be aware that where an applicant applies through the local authority admissions portal but does not complete the school's Supplementary Information Form (which will be available on 12PM on Friday 4th September 2026), the application will still be considered for admission. However, in the absence of the information required to assess eligibility under the school's published admissions criteria (for example, a baptismal certificate), the application may be ranked in a lower oversubscription category. Any such application will be ranked in accordance with the published oversubscription criteria using the information available to the school.
