PRESENTATION EVENING – 16th October at 6.00pm

Corpus Christi Catholic High School strives to support the needs of each of its students, and encourage the
development of individual skills and talents. The school’s approach aims to develop the whole person and
successfully equip each pupil for the challenges of life.

The way we teach at Corpus Christi Catholic High has changed dramatically over the past few years. The
introduction of computer technology into the classroom has allowed our teachers to develop new and exciting
ways of delivering their lessons, and tailor learning to meet individual student needs. We are keen to build on this
as we incorporate the national Digital Competency Framework (DCF) across the school curriculum.

We have recently partnered with a company called Options Direct to develop a scheme to support the wider
learning needs of our students and their families. As part of your child’s learning opportunities at our school we
want to provide access to a Chromebook device that will enable them to enrich and extend their learning both in
and out of school. The scheme will enable parents to purchase a Chromebook for their child at specially
discounted rates, either through a one-off payment or by spreading the cost over a period of 12, 24 or 36 months.
Devices will be delivered before the Christmas holidays.

Your child be able to access the Internet and the school learning platform (Hwb) and use a wide range of
electronic learning materials. Your child will be expected to bring this device to school each day and use it in the
classroom as we develop digital learning throughout the school.

We are holding an Open Evening for both students and parents/carers to explain the programme which Options
Direct are offering. I would encourage you to attend this evening to see how this programme works and
understand how it will support your child’s learning. Miss Gatiss, the School’s Head of ICT, will also be present to
answer any queries you may have on our plans for digital learning in school.

We hope you’ll all be able to join us on Wednesday, 16th October at 6pm.
