Online School behaviour & achievements for students

8Dear Parent/Carer

We are constantly reviewing ways of implementing our school Mission Statement and earlier this year introduced the Corpus Christi Pupil Profile.  Both challenge our pupils and indeed our school community to live by values which are Christ centred.

With this in mind, we have recently invested in a new online programme called ClassCharts, which records your child’s  behaviour. Following a successful trial of this programme with staff and pupils, we are delighted to now be able to launch this system to all parents/carers, recognising that the best outcomes for children occur when school and families work together.

The software www.classcharts.com is available online and has an application for a smart phone/tablet so that you can track your child’s behaviour throughout the day. Every time your child receives a positive or, indeed a negative behaviour point you will be able to see this on your child’s activity feed. This means that you can track your child’s behaviour every day, and have those really important conversations with them when they arrive home. This includes celebrating their achievements, but also dealing with any negative behaviour that has occurred. In the near future the ClassCharts Pupil application will also be available for pupils to track their own behaviour as well as homework and detention. We hope to implement a live rewards system, which will enable pupils to choose prizes online once they reach their credit milestones.

As ClassCharts is constantly developing their system, we are pleased to inform you that you will also be able to track your child’s homework. We will provide you with more information regarding these updates soon.

As you are aware, Corpus Christi currently sends email messages to inform parents/guardians of any detentions that have been issued to your child; however as of Tuesday May 7th 2019 we will be notifying you via ClassCharts instead.

Each child has been given a unique access code which they were given during registration time last week. Please use this code to create an account by going to the website below:

https://www.classcharts.com/parent/login

Please search your app store to download the ClassCharts App free of charge. Once on the ClassCharts website we advise that you listen to the short tutorial to assist you in logging in.  If you have more than one child at Corpus Christi you can use the plus sign in the top right hand corner with the additional access codes you have received.

We thank you for your continued support.

Yours faithfully
